Geopedia is a Social Cooperative Enterprise comprising geologists, biologists, oceanographers, environmentalists, foresters, historians, archaeologists and educators. Its 5 founding members are scientists trained in different specialties and have years of professional experience in environment related sectors.

The main goal of the company is the promotion of sustainable development. Its activities are mainly focused on the promotion of environmental sustainability and the research and study of the environment in its entirety, applying interdisciplinary and experiential approaches.

Geopedia SCE supports sustainable development by providing consultancy and services in the fields of environmental education, the promotion of outdoor activities and environmental management.

Its main objective is to promote Greece’ s natural wealth, strengthen the environmental culture and, by extension, the protection of the environment.

 

As it concerns the excursions in nature, the innovation of Geopedia lies in the participation of its scientific staff and it’s based on Responsible Tour, Ecotourism and Educational tourism.

 

Geopedia uses permanent partners from an ever-growing network spreading all over Greece (attendants, local guides, guesthouse & restaurant owners, local businesses with outdoor activities). Permanent partnerships also exist with travel agencies for the safe and comfortable transportation of participants.
